Birthday Fun at the Zoo!!

On Mya's actual birthday, October 7, Brad and I took her to the zoo. We thought that would be fun for her since she loves animals so much and it was beautiful weather. Here are a few pictures from our day.

The zoo was decorated for fall which meant pumpkins everywhere! Of course Mya had to stop and see them.

Happy First Birthday Mya!

While we were in Arkansas, we were able to celebrate Mya's 1st Birthday! Aunt Toni threw her an amazing birthday party. It couldn't have been more perfect!

Mya was excited to see everything when she came in.

Mya did pretty well opening her presents.





As you can see in this picture, Mya is keeping her distance from Elmo. Now she normally loves Elmo, but this was a Tickle Me Elmo from Grandpa Charlie and she just didn't know what to think. The adults were very entertained by it! :)



Mya even got new clothes and shoes from Miss Tammy.



Aunt Toni made Mya a very special gift...a quilt with a 1 on it. She even spelled out Mya's name in the stitching! It was beautiful!

So Mya wanted nothing to do with her cake. This was no surprise to Daddy and Mommy but we tried anyway. First we tried with a fork.



Then, we tried it on her tray.



She decided to just feed it to Mommy!



We got a little pink icing on her lip but that's as good as it gets. Maybe next year!



Thank you all so much for such a wonderful 1st birthday party. It was perfect!!!

Pumpkin Hollow

In September, Mya and I went to spend the week in Arkansas. While we were there, we took a trip to Pumpkin Hollow with Grandma Janie, Aunt Toni and Savannah. Mya absolutley loves pumpkins, so I knew she would have so much fun.

Of course, Mya picked out a Halloween ball in the gift shop.



Mya's favorite animal to look at was the miniature pony.



Mya loved seeing all the different animals. She's pointing to fish in this picture.

We had so much fun at Pumpkin Hollow! We'll have to do it again next fall!
