An Arkansas Christmas

At my Mom and Dad's house, our Christmas morning tradition is to wake up early and have coffee and a big breakfast and open presents together. Here are some of our favorite pictures from Christmas morning 2009.

Mya with Grandma and Grandpa

Even though it was early, Mya had some big smiles for Grandpa!

Mya and her cousin Brody

Mya got so many gifts. This was a baby doll from Grandma and Grandpa.

Savannah and Toni...they might need one more cup of coffee!

Ashley and Allen looking at their calender from Toni. She made us all calenders with family pictures in them. I love mine!

Brody getting a little help from his Uncle Brant.

Mya and Daddy opening presents

Mya had so much excitement she had to take a little Christmas morning nap.

Continuing her nap with Savannah

I love this picture...Mya and Grandma, so sweet.

After naptime, we got ready for our roadtrip back to St. Louis. Mya wore her "My 1st Christmas" outfit and hat. The hat didn't last long but it was so cute!

Before we left Paragould, we stopped by to wish Mamaw a Merry Christmas.

So excited to see each other!

We gave Mamaw pictures of Mya and she loved them.

Even though it was a quick trip, we had such a wonderful time. We were only there Christmas Eve night and Christmas morning but it seemed like we really were able to spend quality time together. I'm so glad we could be there to see everyone and for Mya to spend time with family. Thank you to all of our family in Arkansas for being a part of Mya's 1st Christmas and making it so special. We can't wait to see you all again! We love you!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we loaded up the car and traveled to Arkansas to spend the night at my Mom and Dad's. Here are some of our favorite pictures from that night.

We took a picture of the cousins, Savannah, Mya, and Brody, together on Christmas Eve in their Christmas pajamas. Aren't they just too cute!!

Soaking up every bit of love from Grandma and Grandpa!

Mya's First Professional Pictures

In December, we took Mya to get her first professional pictures taken. These were taken just a few days before she turned 2 months old. Of course, she fell asleep right before the pictures so her nap got cut short. She was a little fussy but the pictures turned out fine. We were very happy with them and gave them to family as Christmas presents. They absolutely loved them!

Mya's First Snow

On December 20th, Mya got to see her first snow. We had flurries a few times before this, but nothing you could really see on the ground. Even though it was so cold, we bundled up and had to snap a quick picture. We have had several snowy days since then.

Three Puppies in the Bed and the Little One Said...Roll Over, Roll Over

What an exciting day! I had to share these pictures from this morning. Mya and I were playing and doing "tummy time," like we do every morning, when Mya decided she would roll from her tummy to her back! At first I thought she might have done it by accident so I put her back on her tummy and there she went again! It was so amazing to see and she just turned 3 months old!

Breakfast with Santa

On Saturday, December 12, we took Mya to "Breakfast with Santa" where we attend church, McKnight Road Church of Christ. She was dressed in her Christmas pajamas with reindeer feet and, of course, we had our Santa quilt that Aunt Toni made us.

Mya, Santa, and Mrs. Claus...no tears during the picture with Santa this year.

Our preacher was even dressed up as Frosty the Snowman.

Jimmy Teigen, youth minister, and his daughter, Corrina

Grandma Jane and Mya...look how well she is holding her head up!

Mommy and Mya

I'm sure Breakfast with Santa will be a family tradition each year.

Two Months Old

Mya turned 2 months old on December 7th. She is really growing and doing well. When she went for her 6 week check up, she weighed 10 lbs 3 oz and was 23 inches long. She is in the 90th percentile for her height. During her second month, she moved up to wearing size 1 diapers and some of her size 0-3 months clothes.

Mya has her Mommy's hair. Her hair is starting to stand up in the back just like mine did when I was a baby. I think it is precious!

This month Mya has started smiling so much, especially at Mommy and Daddy. She loves bathtime...never cries during her bath. She also loves when we sing songs to her. We have so much fun with Mya and I am so blessed to get to stay home with her!
