This Chair is Just Right!
Sunday night we were downstairs and Mya was sitting in her chair that her Grandpa Charlie got her. I was sitting on the floor in front of her and she kept slowly leaning over and her eyes were getting so heavy. The next thing I knew, she was alseep in her chair and in the funniest position. She stayed this way, holding her foot, until she woke up! Such a funny girl!

Yes, Jesus Loves Me
Sunday, March 7, was Mya's first time to go to Bible class. We were not sure how she would do but she loved it! Brad and I took her to class and got her settled in. We stayed for a bit and then went on to our class (of course I was a little reluctant to leave her).
Mya was the youngest one in class (she turned 5 months old on Sunday) and looked so tiny sitting next to the others. The other children were so sweet to her. They were saying her name and offering her their toys.

I came back towards the end of class to see how she was doing. Honestly, I expected to see a red little face with tears...but it was the opposite! I was so excited to see that she hadn't been upset at all. She was loving every minute of class! Ms. Mary Anne and Ms. Jenny said she did great and was so happy.

Mya would smile and kick her little feet while they were singing songs.

It was such a special day for us, especially me. Having been a teacher, it was so amazing to be on the other side as a parent and see Mya in a little class. I felt so proud of my big girl!

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'...
Mya had been trying so hard to roll from her back to her tummy. She could roll over but couldn't quite get that arm out at the end to lift her head up. Well, she got it! I took these pictures Saturday, February 27. Since then, Mya rolls from back to tummy every chance she gets. This makes diaper changing time pretty interesting!

So, before she turned 5 months old, Mya had successfully rolled on both sides, rolled from tummy to back, and rolled from back to tummy! We are so proud of her! Mya's pediatrician was impressed, as well, that she had already done these things. She got a late start at working on all of this due to her broken clavicle when she was born. Mya is pretty determined though...we may be in trouble! :)

Four Months Old
Mya turned 4 months old on February 7. During her fourth month, Mya:
*rolled from her tummy to her back
*loves to use our fingers to pull herself up to a sitting position
*started sleeping through the night (some nights)
*finally likes her bouncy chair!! (she used to scream when I put her in it)
*became a hair puller
*"talks" a lot
*really laughs out loud, especially at her frog toy
*gets so excited to look in the mirror
*likes to play peek-a-boo and laughs at it
*loves when Mommy sings Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star & The Itsy Bitsy Spider
*finally got her foot in her mouth :)
*started teething (front, top two)

And...Mya has had enough of the picture taking!!!

"Photo shoots" are exhausting!

Surprise Grandma Janie!
We took a trip to Paragould last weekend to see my Mom who has been in and out of the hospital. Nothing contagious...she has had issues with her stomach for several weeks now and broke her wrist during all of this as well. We thought a visit from Mya might be just the thing she needed, so we drove in Saturday night to surprise Mom.
Toni, Mya, Mom and Savannah
Mya was very interested in all of the buttons on Mom's bed.
Mom was able to go home on Sunday afternoon. :) Thank you to everyone who has kept my Mom and family in their prayers. We appreciate it so much! She is doing better and has not had to go back to the hospital. She seems to be improving daily. Please continue to pray for Mom so she will continue to get stronger.
We can't wait for you to come visit us Grandma Janie!!!!

Valentine's Day
What Kind of Crazy Animals Are These????
Are they?
a.) llamas
b.) elk
c.) sheep
OR
d.) our dogs after they got their hair shaved
If you guessed D, you are correct! Gabe and Sam are quite hilarious when they get their hair shaved off. They look completely different than they usually do. Gabe looks like his head has been photo shopped onto his body. :) They even seemed embarrassed when they got home. Don't worry boys...it will grow back soon!
Gracie got her hair cut too. Love the Valentine hair bows and handkerchief!
